Les is currently in Yu Nan Province at the National Training Centre in Kunming to complete the AFC Special Pro Diploma course

Based again at the magnificent facilities in Kunming the candidates will benefit from 5 weeks of instruction and practical and theoretical assessment to become the first Chinese graduates of the Professional Diploma

 

Fu Bo appointed Assistant National Coach

 

One of Les's participants;Fu Bo has been appointed Assistant Coach to the Chinese National Team, Les was on hand last week to see his Student on duty as the China Team defeated Lebanon in the Asian Cup of Nations

 

AFC PRO DIPLOMA - KUNMING,CHINA

 

The first part of the first ever Pro Diploma in China took place in the City of Kunming from the 6th to the 26th of January 2009.

 

The Asian Confederation chose Les Reed to conduct the course. The candidates comprised the Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches of the Chinese First Division Clubs along with selected International staff. Most of the candidates were also former National Team players including Chinese Legend Maozhen Su who was the first Chinese player to be signed by Manchester United.

 

The course took place at the magnificent facilities of the New Asia Sports Park in the new town area.

 

Turkish Federation Request Assistance

 

The Turkish Football Federation; already an established client of SAS has requested our assistance with a special UEFA Pro Licence course to be held in 2010. Martin Hunter, one of our associate consultants and former Assistant Coach at Norwich, Watford, Stoke and Bradford City and former National Coach to the England Under 18s,19s and 20S,will be the Course Director and Les Reed will be attending over the year to deliver a number of the course modules.

The candidates will be current Turkish Superliga Head Coaches.

 
Brac Island Croatia

UEFA Pro Diploma - Croatia

 

On the beautiful island of Brac off the coast at Split the Croatian Football Federation conducted Europes elite course for over 45 coaches and Technical Directors of the first league. Les shared the Technical sessions on this course with Bob Brouers of the Belgian F.A

Concentrating on the theme of Winning Football, Les focussed on the Theory modules of Team Building, Leadership and Group Dynamics and the Practical sessions based on the principles of attack.

The candidates were all top coaches and like China a representative group of former International players.

 

The course took place at the facilities of the local club with two first class pitches at the rear of the hotel right on the waterfront. Excellent conference facilities were provided by the hotel and thus was created a perfect learning environment.

 

The under 19 players of the famous Hayduk Split (Croatian Champions) were provided for the practical work

 

Les has already been invited back for a longer period  in the new year to complete part two
